This actually a follow up to a previous comment I posted. I had purchased a used 2015 Yamaha FJ-09 from RideNow Austin. After having the bike for a couple of weeks I noticed that I was getting an indication from my display that something was wrong with the bike. I called RideNow Austin and they said to bring the bike in, unfortunately that wasn't to convenient as I live in Sugar Land, TX. RideNow Austin made arrangements for me to see a local Yamaha dealer in Houston, who identified the problem as rust in the gas tank. RideNow Austin stood behind their sale and ordered the parts, had them shipped to the local Yamaha Dealer and paid for the repairs. I was surprised and delighted that they stood behind their sale. So many thanks to my salesman, Dustin Jones for, the head of sales who put me in touch with their service department, and Dustin Sterns from service.

This review is specific to my buying experience with Nick Fletcher, Powersports Consultant. I make the effort here to include the term consultant because Nick acted far more like my advocate than a salesman. Having owned 4 BMWs over the last 15 years I assumed that based on those largely positive experiences that I would buy another. Nick happily set up a ride on the model I was 90% certain I wanted. I did indeed like the bike but based on my evolving riding needs and wants, I had some reservations. My previous bike was a K1600GT, which had adequate sporting capabilities, was comfortable enough for all day rides, but was too unwieldy for 2-up, low speed maneuvering. Nick listened and suggested I consider something which really wasnt on my radar screen, the new Goldwing DCT Tour. After listening to Nick and doing some of my own research I decided to give the Old Man motorcycle a try. Truly a revelation in capability, comfort and confidence. Once I learned the auto box would be in the right gear in 95% of circumstances (easily and instantly overridden by a simple paddle shift at any time) I began to appreciate what a joy the bike would be for 2-up riding: powerful, capable and buttery smooth.
Nicks product knowledge and customer service prioritized approach to sales lead me to an unexpected and thoroughly satisfying bike selection. The price was right too.

I purchased a used Yamaha FJ-09 from Ride Now Austin. The sales staff, especially my salesman, Dustin Jones, were very courteous and patient with me. After the purchase, I was surprised to find out that they also included all of the materials that were included with the bike by the original owner. This included the manual, a full service manual, the OEM sprocket, the OEM windshield and another windshield that the original owner included in his sale of the bike back to Ride Now. It was nice to find out that my purchase included everything that the original owner sold back to Ride Now.Since I live in Sugar Land, I wasn't able to take the bike home that day, so I came back the next weekend to get the bike. Dustin Jones had the bike ready to go with a full tank of gas. He made sure that I had the bike properly loaded on the trailer before I left the dealer. I was very appreciative of his assistance.A week after purchasing the bike, I noticed that my fuel gauge was indicating there was a problem with the bike. At first I thought I was out of gas, so I topped of the tank and the problem went away. The problem came back the next weekend, so I contact Ride Now Austin. Currently they have stood behind their sale, and are working with me to get the problem reconciled. More to come later. I am anxiously looking forward riding to combing back to Austin in early April to watch the MotoGP races.

Gotta give a shoutout to RideNowAustin.com. I recently bought a 2009 BMW R1200GSA motorcycle for an upcoming lunatic ride we're planning that'll cover ten thousand miles and a lot of landscapes, dirt roads, back roads, no roads and everything in between.I bought the bike last week from Nick Fletcher at the dealership here in Austin. He was great to deal with, the process was smooth, I rode the bike and loved it. Everything was great.Then I rode Sunday. It rained Monday. I rode Tuesday and the rear shock blew out. These are ultra high tech shocks with electronic adjustment and are built to handle anything. But the hydraulic seal blew and no shock, dripping motorcycle blood on the street.I called Nick and he sent a truck the next morning to pick it up and just called me today to tell me the dealership will cover the cost of replacement which is a scary lot of money.When was the last time you heard of any vehicle dealer standing up like that? Never? I got calls from several folks in management, all wanting the process to be smooth, followup, etc.The executive summary? If you're itching to get a bike, go there first. And ask for Nick.

I contacted my sales person (Tyler) via phone to get information on the Waverunners that my wife and I were interested in. The dealership was over an hour away from where live, but we wanted to see how they compared to the other nearby dealers. We met with a very nice sales person close to home and were going to purchase from him, not thinking he could be outdone. But, fortunately for us, Tyler made it happen. He was upfront, honest, and respectful of our time and his offer came in exactly where we wanted it, without me even giving him the number that we had in mind. After dealing with him, we decided it was worth the drive to head out to Ride Now Austin, and this proved even more worth our while when we got there. Upon arriving at Ride Now Austin, my wife and I were repeatedly greeted by smiling faces and asked if we needed any assistance, while we waited for our sales person to finish up with his current customers.The showroom was pristine and inviting. One thing that was pleasantly surprising was that all pricing was clearly visible for their machines. And they were similar to what I had seen while shopping around. This is something that I'd never seen before. The interaction with the Ride Now staff was the most enjoyable part of the sales experience. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with our sales person (Tyler), finance manager (Austin), and sales manager (Felipe). They were not only helpful, but we're also fun and personable. In a word, the trio was amazing. They all explained the details of our transaction in full and were extremely patient in answering any questions we had. Once all was said and done, Tyler hitched up our skis for us and even took a photo of us, with our new toys. He also told me that he'd be available to me for any questions I had, at any point in time in the future. If you are in the market for a motorcycle, jet ski, or something similar... Do yourself a favor and go see Tyler and the rest of Ride Now Austin staff.

I puchased a motorcycle from Woods in early 2018 and after 10,000 miles, and a year riding, it developed what sounded like a serious engine problem, just before the 10,000 mi service ! Having had a great experience at Woods the entire year, from purchase to service to spares to parts even financing (:>), I knew they'd look after me.Being un-rideable due to a really nasty engine noise, I droppped the bike off a few days before scheduled service and left it in their hands.When it sounded like it may be a longer process, involving a strip down and warrenty claim, I chatted to Nick in the showroom .. he's a bit of problem solver, and makes great English Tea and Biscuits by the way !Within a few days, I had traded in my old bike, to be fixed under warrenty (or not) by Woods, and riding away on a new ride .. Woods were great and were focussed on me leaving happy, really .. yes .. The whole team there were involved and the relaxed and knoweledgable staff were excellent, made this potential stressful situation almost enjoyable !Nick and Philippe helped me through the process of swapping the bike, and doing a deal, and Brian in service took all the stress out of my mechanical issue on my old bike .. Needed a CRF110 for my 8 year old son for Christmas. Couldn't find one anywhere in Texas including both dealership avenue and craigslist avenue. Called Eric at Woods and he let me know he had two left. Even though I am in College Station and gave him no payment information he held one of the bikes for me until I got there. Was very helpful and friendly throughout. Everything was in order when I arrived and had no wait time. Signed a couple documents and done. Gave me a tour of the facility which is amazing and made me want to buy a couple more bikes. Finance folks were great (I'm terrible with names but he has a mud buggy like no other), sales folks were great (not typical pushy sales people) just a really high level group of professionals. Will return to Woods for all future bike purchases including dirtbikes, R1 (or CBR not sure yet) and 4-wheeler.

I visited your store to because I was in need of a new motorcycle helmet, but was not ready to buy one (because my wife was not with me). Armondo Flores quickly asked if I needed any assistance. My last helmet purchase was over 15 years ago, and many things have changed since then. Armando was friendly, very knowledgeable, and kept working towards a sale. I was fully prepared to "wait for permission" to spend $500 "on me". I just wanted to narrow down which helmet I would buy when I was ready to buy. Armando certainly knows the ABC's of sales (Always Be Closing), and in the end he made me an offer I couldn't refuse. He even helped with advice for explaining this unauthorized purchase to my bride! I spoke with Brandon Slemp on the phone and it ended up being the only call I made. His demeanor on the phone was excellent, helpful and calm. The conversation on the phone is what brought me to the store. He explained what they had in inventory and other options. When I arrived with family in tow, I met Brandon. He showed me what I was looking for and gave me some options. I was also looking for helmets for my wife and son. I came in on 3.16.12 for help with a warranty battery that had a busted cell. I live about a half hour from Woods so tried several other dealers before making the drive out there...wow what a waste of time! The staff at Woods was amazing!! I was helped by Richie a Team Leader and Austin a Parts & Service rep and they provided above and beyond service with every question. I had been told by 3 dealers already today that they could not help with a warranty battery that was not purchased at their location but Richie and Austin got on the phone with Bike Masters and got me a new battery free of charge. I ended up buying a new tire and am now a customer for life. If you have never been to Woods please stop by and check them out!! If a manager reads this please let Richie and Austin know they are doing a great job and I appreciate all their efforts today. "My first time walking into Woods I felt right at home. The people are very welcoming, especially to my family. I had my wife and two daughters with me, and my girls were excited to see the motorcycles. "took my 1999 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 in for major engine service. Was extremely satisfied with the work done. Ethan McDonald gave great customer service with good communication and freindly can do attitude. Think about the mechanics that work there..... Harley has 5 basic engines and 6 different frames....meanwhile the mechanics at Woods work on Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, the entire product line including jetskis and 4-wheelers...these guys know there stuff and do great work. I will use them in the future!"

"My girl friend and I found our selfs on the side of the road about 10 miles south of Johnson City Saturday May 24th, with a flat on the back of a 2008 royal star venture. We started by call an 800 number for star service, but after being on hold for 22 minutes, I called my son, in Austin, to have hem locate a trailer and someone that might be able to replace a tire. As he started calling locations I continued doing the same. Looked like every one we called was closing or didnt want to / or had no way to fix or change a tire on that bike. Thanks to my son and someone he knew or contacted at your location, was able to get us back on the road again. One of your service men handed me a card for a tow service that does big bikes and one of your cards. So in a big way thanks for being there when I/we needed you in a time of need. While at a Lone Star Voyager Rally I had a rear tire problem on my Voyager. After calling all the dealers around the Johnson City area with no luck on finding a tire I was wondering what to do about getting home. Then I noticed the coozie I had been given at the rally was from you guys so I thought I would give you a call to see if you had a tire. As luck would have it you did and the parts salesman said he would hold it for me. He also gave me directions to the store and said that you could get it on for me that day. I limped my bike in and they pulled it in right away and started on it. It was ready in about an hour. All of your salesmen and staff were very nice and helpful. I was very pleased with my experience at your dealership and wish that all dealers could treat their customers with that kind of service. Thanks again! I was hooked on the FIRST bike I saw! 2007 Honda Shadow Spirit. This is my first bike and it fits me pretty well, though it is a bit ""small"" for my 6'1"" 180lbs. frame. The footrests could be a couple inches away from me but aside from that, it rides great! Well, the factory seat can be a bit of a pain in the butt but that can be replaced. Great buy! Great ride! "I purchased my Ninja a little over a year ago and was so blown away by the overall experience that I had to email my complete satisfaction. Well I've been blown away again but this time by James Granberry in your service department. I was in an accident on my motorcycle where a guy pulled in front of me and hit me. While EMS treated my injuries (no broken bones thank goodness) I called the service department to inquire about getting my motorcycle towed to your dealership for repair. I was fortunate enough to have James answer the phone that day. He went out of his way to help me! He called Cycle Lift to come pick up my bike, and even made sure to secure my tank bag when it came in. The next day I went to drop off my key and there was James again going out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. An accident can be a terrible ordeal but James has made it all a little easier. "I just wanted to compliment you on your service staff. I bought a used vstar at Woods and have come in a couple of times for service or questions. One member of your staff in particular has gone out of his way to help me every time I come in. i.e. The last time I was in, I needed to check my oil level. Mr.James Granberry not only took it upon himself to look up my service record (to make sure I got the right oil), but he came out to sit on my motorcycle, when I checked the oil, (in order to make sure the bike was level and the reading would be accurate). He then did the same thing again when I filled the oil, to make sure I didn't damage my engine by putting in too much oil. This level of service, to help some one buying just a little engine oil is unheard of. Thanks for the wonderful experience. James is a real asset. Keep up the good job!"
